The JustCo Story

JustCo to me is more than an exciting job; it is a business that my husband Wan Sing KONG founded, and I am blessed to have been involved in his entrepreneurial journey right from the start. Prior to joining JustCo, I was working at Proctor & Gamble. In 2011, I moved from my much-loved American life and embarked on this journey with Wan Sing in Singapore.

Like many start-up stories, the initial years were marked by a lot of dreams and doubts, ups and downs, exciting and exhausting moments. During the early years of JustCo, we knew that the entrepreneurial journey would not be easy and we did face many obstacles – but the sense of fulfilment was something I would not find elsewhere. JustCo makes my life even fuller and more interesting every day.

My role in JustCo is to foster a community of talented and like-minded individuals and businesses where members can tap into to seek new connections and explore business opportunities through engagement activities like specially-curated professional and social events. Our members get to fully experience the benefits and network effects within JustCo’s large community of more than 17,000 members. This is not different from the atmosphere I fell in love with when at Columbia Business School, where students collaborated to complete projects, and tapped on each other’s expertise to learn and grow.

At JustCo, we offer people a range of options; they can work and socialise in either their own offices or hot-desks in the common area, either behind their computer screens or while using our shared facilities like ping-pong tables, foosball, arcade games, and swings (yes, like the ones you see in a park). They make friends, network with industry peers, attend thought-provoking events, gain advice from a host of senior business figures, or learn to pitch their business ideas. Every day, the community grows, expands and new connections are created; with kudos also to our Community Team – made up of passionate individuals who work closely with our members and understand the needs. I had never dreamed that I could have so much fun (and yes, sometime stress too) at work.

Thinking back, I am very grateful with how everything came together. I’ve not only been part of building a business, but more importantly, I get to nurture start-ups, support freelancers, and help many large organizations change the way they work and grow.

Over the years, JustCo has achieved great milestones, building the name to be recognised as one of Asia’s leading premium flexible workspace providers. We now have presence across Asia, including key cities like China, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, Australia, Taiwan, and more to come.

I had never dreamed that I would be doing this with the most important person in my life, my husband, or ever thought that our personal and professional lives would be so intertwined. Every day I feel truly blessed, to continue to grow as a person and a leader in a business where there is so much passion, support and collaboration. I look forward to welcoming and meeting you in the JustCo community.

How Coworking Spaces Foster An Inclusive Working Culture In Indonesia

In recent years, coworking spaces have become an increasingly popular option for professionals in Indonesia who are looking for greater flexibility and a more collaborative work environment.

While there are many benefits to working in a coworking space, one of the most underrated ones is the way these spaces foster an inclusive working culture.

WHAT IS AN INCLUSIVE WORKING CULTURE?

Working culture is not just about the work itself but is also the environment that underpins it. Diversity and inclusion are essential to any successful Indonesian company of tomorrow. An inclusive working culture is one in which everyone is treated with respect, and given equal opportunities based on merit. Employers and employees of all genders, ages, races, and beliefs can work together in harmony, with mutual respect and without the fear of being judged.

HOW DO COWORKING SPACES FOSTER AN INCLUSIVE COMPANY CULTURE?

RANGE OF AMENITIES

Coworking spaces come complete with all the amenities you need to get work done, such as various private offices, ample common areas, and many collaborative workspaces. These spaces are designed to foster an inclusive culture as well as encourage creativity and productivity. They provide individuals with a sense of privacy and personal space, while also offering the opportunity to collaborate with co-workers. No matter your working style, there will always be something in a coworking space that you will love. Colleagues can relax and bond in the common areas during their breaks and clients can conveniently head over to discuss in the centres’ collaborative workspaces or meeting rooms. For example, JustCo Indonesia’s coworking spaces are conveniently located in Central and South Jakarta – AIA Central, Sequis Tower, and The Plaza. This is particularly important for businesses with a diverse workforce in Indonesia, as it can help employees feel more welcome and connected to their colleagues and clients, regardless of their backgrounds or ethnicities.

LIKE-MINDED INDIVIDUALS

Coworking spaces offer a sense of community that is often missing from traditional office settings. Individuals are surrounded by driven people with a shared goal, which will undoubtedly motivate one to reach their own goals. Seeing others taking massive action and achieving great things will inspire you to do the same. When you’re constantly around people who are moving forward, it’ll push you to take more risks and step outside your comfort zone. Unlike a traditional office space, where individuals mainly go to work and head home once their tasks are done, co-working spaces are far more social. JustCo Indonesia hosts many events and has integrated a connecting function in the JustCo app to help members connect and get to know their fellow co-workers. This provides the perfect opportunity for over 100,000 like-minded individuals to come together and share their knowledge, skills, and ideas. What’s more, JustCo offers lifestyle perks for their members to take a pause from the daily grind and enrich their personal lives.

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO THE NEXT LEVEL WITH JUSTCO INDONESIA

The inclusive culture fostered in coworking spaces is one of the most appealing aspects for many companies, start-ups, entrepreneurs, and freelancers. Not only does it provide a cosy and warm environment, but it also gives members a chance to network and work with one another to achieve a common goal. At JustCo Indonesia, we provide all sorts of flexible office solutions that let people work together no matter what stage they’re at in their career. Whether you require a private office or a hot desking solution, we have the perfect option for you. View our pricing plans and enquire for a free quote for our smart co-working solutions today!

Why In-Person Shared Office Spaces Are Still A Good Idea

Businesses of all sizes – from large multinational corporations to small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) to start-ups – have largely embraced the shift to ‘work from home’ (WFH) or remote working arrangements over the last few years. Apart from hygiene and safety concerns, proponents of remote working cite benefits such as higher productivity and smaller carbon footprints.

However this experience has not been uniform, with downsides including feelings of social isolation, lack of closeness with coworkers, and blurring of the lines between ‘work’ and ‘home’. Many companies are now reconsidering if a fully WFH model is suitable for their workforce – and seeking out alternatives.

Shared office spaces are one option that provides opportunities for in-person interactions without the rigidity of the traditional office model. JustCo offers flexible office solutions to suit businesses of any shape or size, so you can regain the benefits of in-person interaction and find a shared office space plan that suits your business needs.

BENEFITS OF OFFLINE WORKSPACES

1. MINIMISE UNNECESSARY DISTRACTIONS

Remote work may cut out inconvenient parts of your day such as commuting or needing to get ready for work early in the morning, but working from home isn’t completely idyllic. Both digital and non-digital distractions make the WFH experience difficult, and people who are parents or caregivers may need to juggle their ‘at home’ duties during office hours. Going back to an offline office space gives many employees a chance to reset and refocus on work without these distractions. Shared office spaces also make it easier for employees to break out into smaller groups for interactive face-to-face discussions or meetings. Compared to holding virtual meetings over a screen, in-person meetings provide a deeper sense of connection and empathy that can help employees achieve better concentration and focus on group tasks and objectives.

2. MAKE INTER-OFFICE COMMUNICATION EASIER

Zoom calls, Microsoft Teams meetings, and Slack huddles have taken over in-person meetings – and the experience just isn’t the same. While virtual meetings can be more convenient in some situations, verbal and non-verbal cues sometimes cannot be properly conveyed virtually, leading to miscommunications or misunderstandings. In dynamic client-facing industries or in start-ups and SMBs with a smaller workforce, face-to-face meetings in an offline shared office space can improve communication between employees and/or clients. This allows for better focus on your business goals, and more effective communication where necessary.

3. IMPROVE WORKPLACE MORALE

Workplace morale has undoubtedly taken a hit in the age of WFH. In smaller companies and start-ups, face-to-face interaction prevents departments from getting ‘siloed’, encouraging cross-department communication and engagement. Being in an offline shared office space also makes it easier to onboard and introduce new employees to colleagues, as well as for colleagues to informally catch up and reconnect throughout the day. These can all contribute to improving productivity as well as employee morale.

EXPLORE OFFLINE WORKSPACES WITH JUSTCO

A shared office space still has many advantages for businesses, while allowing for flexible work arrangements. This offers start-ups and SMBs scalable arrangements without the redundancy or high overhead costs of traditional fixed office rental plans. For additional privacy, you can opt for  a private office space based on your requirements. On top of having this space to grow and develop their own unique brand identity, members have access to JustCo shared workspaces and meeting rooms across over 40 locations worldwide, membership perks, and the ever-growing JustCo community. JustCo shared office spaces cater to small businesses starting from 2 people to large requirements of up to 100 people, and come with amenities such as a business address, mail handling, high-speed internet, and IT support. The work landscape we know is undergoing fundamental shifts. Driven by the ongoing pandemic, the traditional notion of a workplace is transforming at unprecedented speed, spurring the demand for flexible real-estate strategies which is proving to be a viable solution for the workforce of the future. With coworking spaces in Indonesia rising dramatically since 2016, it is evident that businesses find merits in more flexible work arrangements that such avenues offer. But how effective are coworking spaces and how can they help you in your professional pursuits in Indonesia? We’ve put together a detailed guide to understanding what coworking spaces have to offer, and how we at JustCo can help you reap the benefits of a collaborative work environment!

What Are Coworking Spaces?

A coworking space is a membership-based working environment in which diverse groups of professionals from all walks of life work under one roof. Designed to foster collaboration between the like-minded and boost productivity, these offices are the driving forces of the future of work. Whether you opt for a hot desk or private office suite, the various solutions offered within the coworking space are meant to drive business productivity and efficiency at streamlined costs.

What Are The Common Features Of A Coworking Space?

A few common features make the coworking space unique – here’s a quick snapshot of what you can expect at JustCo’s locations across Indonesia.

1. Hot Desks

The hot desk provides you with an ergonomically-friendly office set-up, comprising a spacious table with charging ports and a comfortable chair. On top of having a productive workspace to work on your to-do list, the hot desking arrangement fosters collaboration between different individuals working around you. Maybe a conversation with a neighbour may just spark ideas for your next project or give you more inspiration as you complete an ongoing task. This solution is not only ideal for solopreneurs and freelancers. Hot desks can also serve as a third space for growing startups, small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and large enterprises that are looking to embrace the hybrid work model – a fast-rising new way of work that grants a geographically-dispersed workforce the autonomy to choose where they wish to work. At JustCo Indonesia, you can hire a hot desk to use once a month with the JustDesk Basic plan if you need to register a business address at downtown Jakarta but don’t require a workspace frequently. However, if you want to gain access as and when you need it, go for the JustDesk Unlimited plan. For those who have a favourite location in Indonesia and prefer a fixed desk in a same spot, the JustDesk Dedicated plan is the one for you!

2. Private Office Suites

Should privacy be important to you and your team, there are private office suites in our centres to cater to your needs. Perfect for teams working with confidential and sensitive information, or startups looking for a conducive work area for their growing teams, the private studio suites ensure there’s ample space for people to work on their tasks and discuss projects within a productive environment. If this is what you need, the Just Studio plan will have you sorted!

3. Meeting Rooms

We know how important it is to communicate effectively with your clients and stakeholders, so we make sure you have the space to set up meetings whenever you need to. Meeting rooms are equipped with the latest video conferencing technology which allows you to simply get connected and close that million-dollar deal. With pay-per-use meeting rooms available across all our coworking locations, you won’t have to sit in noisy cafes to discuss projects. With all the necessary equipment at your fingertips, you can focus on getting the best out of each meeting. In addition, these meeting rooms are great if you need some quiet time to complete a task or two!

4. Fully-Stocked Shared Pantry

Over the years, we’ve seen businesses in Indonesia devoting more time and effort to creating a better work environment for their employees. Common spaces such as the humble pantry have become an integral part of the workspace. Boasting a fully-equipped pantry filled with free artisanal tea, coffee and more, your employees no longer have to leave the office for a tea break. Moreover, it’s a perfect time to network with others occupying the same coworking space – this is what JustCo is all about: creating opportunities for connections!

5. Printing Facilities

Investing in a good-quality printer and scanner may be necessary to handle day-to-day work commitments, but we know that it can also be an expensive decision for a small business or freelancer to make. That’s why we have on-site business-grade printing and scanning facilities available at each JustCo location. All JustCo memberships include full access to the printing facilities, well-stocked office supplies, and IT support to help you meet your client deadlines on time. Everything you need to run your business is right here at JustCo.

6. Entertainment Areas

Apart from the communal pantry, you can further unwind at the entertainment areas within the coworking spaces. It could be a game of ping pong or a challenge at foosball – there’s something for you to find some respite away from the hustle at your desk.

For Startups

For startups looking to establish themselves professionally, the coworking space is a great way to do so. Whether you occupy several hot desks or sign-up for a private studio, you are not only investing in a conducive work environment that can cater to your growing team but also a suite of amenities that are all at your disposal. These include a business address and mail handling services, IT and printing facilities, as well as fully-equipped meeting rooms to invite potential stakeholders for discussions.

Coworking Space Vs Incubators

While incubators are common to beginner startups, especially in the research and development phase, coworking spaces elevate the experience by bringing them closer to market. The shared areas within the coworking offices allow members of startups to interact with seasoned players, bounce ideas and explore strategies they have never considered before. Plus, with a curated range of professional services and rates exclusive to JustCo members such as those from Amazon Web Services and Dewaweb, startups have all the industry tools they need to bring their business to greater heights!

For SMEs

According to a report by Coworking Insights, SMEs make up the largest share of the demographics (37.3%) that use coworking spaces, followed by startups (27.12%). One of the biggest reasons why SMEs opt for coworking spaces in Indonesia is its cost-effectiveness.

Coworking Space Vs Traditional Office

Traditional long-term leases bring about more challenges to SMEs, especially when they require more space to accommodate growing teams. Being bound to lease terms for several years does not provide SMEs much flexibility to upgrade and downsize whenever they need. Let’s not forget the operational costs entailed when maintaining an office space, plus expenses incurred for fit-out projects. With coworking spaces, businesses can scale effectively – they can take up the amount of space they need, and gain access to all the business amenities that constitute a fully-functioning office. SMEs that find it hard to decide between both can also consider embracing coworking spaces alongside the traditional office space – a hybrid, “best of both worlds” approach with the former serving as a viable alternative to a home office and the latter as a central headquarters. Given the flexibility of a coworking space, companies can scale with ease without litigation risks.

For Enterprises

When the pandemic forced employees in Indonesia to begin working from home, many found merits in the flexible work arrangements. At the same time, it became important to implement effective measures to scale, owing to unused spaces within the traditional offices brought about by social distancing requirements. This pushed enterprises to relook at their workplace policies to cater to the changing preferences of employees and corresponding business needs.

Coworking Space Vs Serviced Office

For enterprises to make the best of their resources, they can opt for the ‘core and flex’ strategy. The ‘core’ refers to a long-term office space that allows enterprises to maintain business visibility, while the ‘flex’ refers to plug-and-play workstations at different locations – otherwise known as satellite offices – where employees can jump on and get started on work. Opting for our serviced offices or private office suites as the ‘core’ takes the planning off the hands. Fully-furnished suites and ready office supplies means less is spent on operational costs, so enterprises can channel more resources to areas that matter. With several locations in Indonesia, employees have the versatility to choose where and how they wish to get work done. Plus, there’s no need for enterprises to spend enormous costs on fitting out office spaces to cater to large teams!

Why Choose Coworking Spaces Over Other Remote Work Alternatives?

Coworking spaces cater to various profiles, from freelancers right up to enterprises, providing tailored solutions that address specific business needs. Whether you’re from the tech industry working on a new prototype or part of a global consultancy managing a variety of clients, there will be something in the realm of coworking that will suit you. However, how do they fare against other remote work alternatives?

Working From Home

One of the most common remote work solutions among professionals, working from home sure has its perks. There’s no need to travel to the office and the kitchen is just there for you to whip up a meal for lunch. However, the work from home model isn’t always favourable, especially among those who do not have sufficient space to set up a workstation. With a fully-furnished office and important amenities readily available, coworking spaces make for an ideal remote working environment. Plus, they ensure that you’re free from distractions that pull you away from your work – whether it’s a family member switching on the television volume at its loudest or renovation works taking place at your neighbour’s house.

Working From Cafes Or Restaurants

The ‘work from cafe’ culture has experienced a burst of popularity among organisations in Indonesia. However, working from cafes can be particularly challenging given that one often has to deal with a saturated number of external stimuli that could take a toll on productivity, engagement and wellbeing. A coworking space, on the other hand, is fitted with quiet nooks and private studios that allow one to be free from distractions or when there is a need for privacy.

Coworking – The Better Choice For Your Mental Health

Since the onset of Covid-19 in early 2020, working adults all over the world were encouraged to work from home due to government regulations implemented to curb the spread, and Jakarta is no exception. While the immediate health benefits of avoiding shared spaces during a pandemic are obvious, companies and employees shouldn’t overlook the potential health consequences that can come with working from home for an extended period of time.

Multiple lockdowns in the city of Jakarta, Indonesia, have negatively impacted the physical and mental well being of its people, leading people to become unhappy and unproductive while working remotely. Working remotely has also put many employees at the brink of burnouts or even depression due to the increasing demands of work and employers expecting employees to continue working after work hours.

Let’s take a closer look at the negative impacts of long-term remote working on our mental health.

THE PERILS OF LONG-TERM ISOLATION

While Jakarta is currently not in lockdown and there are not many regulations in place that restrict movement of the public or strict enforcement to wear masks, the global threat of another wave of Covid-19 lurks ahead with reported new variants of the virus. This means that another lockdown to prevent the spread of community cases is highly likely, and city dwellers in Indonesia may have to prepare themselves for isolation yet again.

Humans are social creatures who thrive with social interactions that reinforce our sense of well-being and belonging in the community, especially for individuals who are used to working in a close-knit culture at the workplace or enjoy working in a coworking space in bustling cities like Jakarta. When millions are forced to not only work remotely but also minimise social gatherings mental health is greatly affected, which could lead to feelings of isolation, helplessness and depression.

A recent study has highlighted that 19% of individuals who had to switch from working in the office to working remotely felt lonely when working from home. As for employees who thrive on working in teams and human interactions, maintaining relationships with co-workers and managers is important as the lack of it affects their work performance and mental wellness.

Citizens can’t lift lockdowns or risk breaking rules, but what else can be done to prevent the negative impacts of working from home from having long-term effects on individuals?

IMPROVING YOUR MENTAL HEALTH

To alleviate feelings of isolation and loneliness, it is crucial to maintain some semblance of your life before Covid-19 existed. This includes face-to-face interactions with other like-minded professionals, clocking off work on time or simply having a productive and conducive workspace, which can be achieved by working at a coworking space instead of from home.

On top of the benefits of human interaction, coworking spaces like JustCo also provide you with a proper space to destress and rest whenever you are feeling overwhelmed from work, which might not be possible at home if you don’t have the luxury of space for a relaxation area.

IMPROVE WORK PRODUCTIVITY AND MENTAL HEALTH BY COWORKING IN A SAFE SPACE

Another way to stay sane while working remotely is to mimic your working habits as though you are, in fact, working in the office. This will be difficult to achieve at home since not everyone has the luxury of building a dedicated workspace in their homes. To better facilitate this, you can jump on JustCo’s JustDesk Unlimited membership plan that will allow you to have a workspace at our locations in Jakarta.

With a JustDesk Unlimited, you get a dedicated workspace that you can use daily, allowing you to draw a line between work and leisure time compared to working from home or from your bedroom.

You can commute to our co-working spaces in the morning and “clock out” when your working hours are over and head home to rest,  or brush shoulders and strike up a conversation with other professionals in our coworking space,  just like when lockdown hasn’t been implemented. In fact, stress levels can be decreased by making connections with professionals from other companies at coworking places and when employees can find confidantes for their problems. This way, you will be able to prevent yourself from working for an extended period of time without human interaction during lockdowns and possibly reducing the chances of burnout.

3 Useful Tips for Aspiring Startup Business Owners in Indonesia

The Covid-19 pandemic has dampened the global economic outlook for the upcoming years and has proven to be discouraging to startups and small businesses with insufficient funds to stay afloat during the months of lockdown. With such a gloomy outlook, you might find yourself applying the brakes to your startup plans, but what do seasoned entrepreneurs have to say?

On the contrary, seasoned entrepreneurs might advise you to enter the market in Indonesia right now. With rentals relatively low, you can keep recurring costs at a minimum and lock in a lower rental price for a longer period of time. Additionally, you can also afford to hire staff at a more favourable cost due to the higher demand for jobs during the pandemic and a shortage of available jobs in the workforce in Indonesia.

With conflicting opinions from all sides, whose advice should you listen to? Read on to find out about some tips that can possibly help you live your dream of becoming a business owner in these unpredictable times.

1. Get Over Your Fears

Many people dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur or business owner, but not many achieve their dreams as they are hindered by their fears of failing thus their ambition remains a dream.

It is essential to understand that risks and fears come with the responsibility of being the owner and boss. You will be responsible for your employees’ welfare, the sales, and revenue of your business, reputation, and customer service. The sooner you accept that you will have to take on these responsibilities, the sooner you will reach your goals as dwelling on your fears will only slow you down or worse, keep you from reaching your potential. Instead of allowing fear to rule you in a negative manner, think of solutions to potential issues that might arise, so your fears become a positive driving force instead of pulling you back from success.

2. Be in Control of The Purse Strings

Always calculate how much it will cost for you to create a product for sale. Include everything from research and development, labour costs, facility and machinery costs, rental costs, and material costs. Then quadruple it as you are bound to run into some unexpected expenses when running a business. It is always better to be overprepared than to have to fold even before you start.

Once you have your magic number, make a financial projection. Figure out when you can recoup your capital, and will your existing funds or funds from your investors be able to tide you through the period of research and development or until you make your first few sales? If the answer is no, you can consider taking up a loan but bear in mind that you should not be putting all your money into the startup. You have to consider your living expenses as well.

You can also consider cheaper options to cut costs when it comes to renting your workspace. The solution can be as simple as renting a co-working space instead of an entire office in Indonesia. This can potentially save you hundreds a month.

3. Learn to Juggle

No, we don’t mean that literally.

If you have a full-time job right now, don’t be in a rush to quit before your business gains traction. The initial phase of starting a business can be slow, might not generate any revenue and may even incur some losses. Your business can be in a deficit for the first few months, so having a full-time job during this period of time can help maintain your lifestyle, so you need not worry about your living expenses. Once your business can maintain a steady inflow of cash, you can then focus on it full-time.

Own A Start-up in Indonesia? Get All The Help You Need From JustCo!

Indonesia has been booming with startups in 2020. In fact, according to Institute for Development of Economics and Finance currently there are 2,203 startups in Indonesia in 2020 alone. Indonesia is ranked 5th in the world with most start-ups just behind Canada (2,713), UK (5,387), India (8,353), and USA (65,779).

With such numbers in 2020, 2021 will be no exception, especially for the city of Jakarta. It is still not too late to hop on the bandwagon of launching startups, since we are still in the first quarter of 2021, plenty of opportunities are still up for grabs and a promising startup can reap profits in no time.

Naturally, during the infancy period of launching a startup, also known as the “research and development” (R&D) phase, liquidity might not be high and profits might not roll in as quickly as expected. This is why startups can make use of co-working spaces effectively to save cost. The cash saved from paying rental fees for a permanent office can compromise cashflow as unnecessary cashflow  can cause a startup in its infancy to be deemed unsustainable.

However, If you are launching your startup while working-from-home, a workday can pass in a blur with minimal human interaction and it can be difficult to “clock off” if you did not “clock in” at a physical workplace. Working past working hours can be disastrous for your health and might negatively impact your business in the long run.

To obtain work-life balance, it is good practice to consciously separate working hours from your personal time. This means that you should not be checking work emails before bedtime, reading through proposals during meals or working in bed. The perfect solution to this would be to start your work day at our co-working space and end the day by leaving the space. This can add much needed structure to your day and prevent you from having a burn out.

Why companies choose coworking over conventional offices in the new normal

While the work landscape adapts to the recent pandemic, companies in Jakarta are recognising the irks of conventional office spaces, in terms of costs, flexibility and accessibility. As the country gradually achieves a level of normalcy against a new economic narrative, how can companies arm themselves better to brave potential uncertainties in the near future?

What they need is a fresh perspective of work, one that is strategically long-term and smarter.

By that, we mean coworking. In what ways is it a better leverage than conventional office spaces?

  1. Cost-effective

What conventional lease agreements do not provide companies is the ability to cut costs. These not only include those of rent, but also the resources needed to keep the space operationally-ready for employees. We are referring to utilities, furniture, equipment, pantry essentials and all the necessities for a full-fledged office.

A coworking space like JustCo’s absorbs your operational costs at a favourable and budget-matching monthly fee. Your employees gain access to a host of office essentials, from a fully-stocked pantry through to ergonomically-friendly hot desks and well-furnished meeting rooms. Hot desking or booking a private suite is surely an ideal solution for growing startups, independent entrepreneurs and freelancers. However, enterprises can also benefit from a ‘core and flex’ strategy, which comprises a smaller long-term space and a flexible coworking office. This allows for easy scaling without having to incur more costs which conventional office leases often entail.

  1. Promises flexibility in scaling

On the note of scaling, coworking hits the spot. Whether you need to upgrade to a private office or want to downsize your plan to a smaller office or just a few hot desks, you can do so at no additional cost. With multiple plans to suit various needs at different phases of your business, you can rest assured that you won’t have to pay extra for unused space nor spend an enormous sum expanding your workstation as you otherwise would in a fit-out project

  1. Offers convenience

Any coworking plan you choose lets your employees into not just one but a total of 3 locations all over Jakarta. Such convenience allows employees flexibility in choosing where they can work – perhaps nearer to a client’s office, a kid’s school or one’s home. They can hop into any centre they find suitable, and have access to all the amenities they need at their fingertips.

  1. Provides a one-stop office solution

What amenities you may ask? We spoke of the full-fledged office earlier – simply put, the coworking space is designed for productive work, at a more conducive price than the conventional lease. At a fraction of the cost, you get a well-functioning office with high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, IT support, printing facilities, mail handling services, office supplies, cleaning and more. Not forgetting, there’s the shared pantry fully stocked with tea and coffee for a well-deserved break. Breakout and entertainment areas also provide the respite your employees need from a busy workday, which can turn into opportunities of networking and collaboration with other fellow members.

  1. Surprises with members-only perks

On top of what is offered in our coworking spaces across Indonesia, members also enjoy exclusive perks from a range of business partners. These include discounted plans from Amazon Web Services, DropBox and HubSpot as well as lifestyle perks courtesy of brands like Fave and Paradigm Fitness. That means you not only get to enjoy a cost-effective, fully-fitted office space but also additional leverage to grow your business in a way you never imagined before.

It goes without saying that coworking is the future of work – if you’re re-evaluating your office space requirements, get in touch with our flexible workspace specialists to learn how we can help to streamline your business operations.
