JustCo brings the future of work to life as Thailand’s largest co-working space launches at Samyan Mitrtown

10 Feb 2020

JustCo, Asia Pacific’s leading premium flexible workspace provider, continues to bring the Future of Work to multi-national corporates, small and medium enterprises, and start-ups. On 10 March 2020, JustCo officially opened its third and largest centre in Bangkok, Thailand. JustCo at Samyan Mitrtown follows the success of JustCo’s first and second centres at AIA Sathorn Tower and Capital Tower, All Seasons Place.

Situated in the prime area of the Rama 4 and Phayathai Road intersection in the heart of Bangkok’s bustling CBD, the centre spans six storeys from the 22nd to 27th floor across 12,000 square metres, and can accommodate up to 2,500 members.

Since 2011, JustCo has continually disrupted the status quo to redefine collaborative working. The solution that JustCo provides goes beyond a flexible space. Understanding the needs of modern businesses today, it offers members access to more than 40 flexible co-working centres in Asia Pacific, as well as multiple physical and digital platforms for members to connect, collaborate, and form strategic partnerships.

Conducive and Productive Workspace

JustCo at Samyan Mitrtown features plug-and-play office amenities that cater to the everyday needs of a business and its staff, eliminating the challenges and hassle of property management.

These include: flexible co-working hot-desks, fully customisable enterprise suites for businesses that require a more flexible space, meeting rooms, a large event space, collaboration areas, mother’s room, pantry, private phone booths, and a beautiful in-house sky café where members can enjoy handcrafted beverages with a change of scenery.

The large contemporary space features floor to ceiling windows to incorporate natural light, a prominent 98-step blue staircase for complete interconnectivity within the centre, custom neon signs, and painted murals to spark creativity. JustCo at Samyan Mitrtown also boasts a mural on every floor by Thailand-based artist Pomme Chan in the style of her signature fun and unique 3D painting technique.

Members can also enjoy breath-taking views of the stunning Bangkok city skyline while sipping a cup of coffee at the sky café, work from any one of JustCo’s hot-desks or collaboration spaces for a change of scenery, or unwind after a hard day’s work at the retail shops and amenities found in Samyan Mitrtown’s Shopping Mall.

Beyond a Space

JustCo also offers a customised Enterprise 360 Solution that allows businesses of all shapes and sizes to customise a bespoke workspace that fits their dynamic business needs. In March 2020, JustCo at Samyan Mitrtown welcomed over 900 employees from Krung Thai Bank (KTB) to its space. In recent years where the needs of businesses and employees have evolved, traditional businesses such as KTB have adopted flexible workspaces solutions as they start to realise the value in this new way of working; lease flexibility, cost savings, as well as community engagement programmes that allow their employees to collaborate and cross-pollinate ideas to result in innovation and business opportunities.

Over half of JustCo members comprise Fortune 500 companies and large corporates. Alongside small-and-medium enterprises, start-ups and freelancers, this extensive community of more than 25,000 JustCo members seek a collaborative workspace that offers access to a regional network of like-minded businesses and individuals. Some of JustCo’s enterprise clients in Thailand include multi-national real estate and property management company Frasers Property, audit, tax and advisory firm Grant Thornton, American multi-national conglomerate General Electric and international provider of premier integrated technology solutions interTouch.

Extensive Network Across 8 Cities

JustCo’s 25,000 members across Asia Pacific are connected through the JustCo App. JustCo members can use the app as a virtual passport to enjoy seamless access to selected JustCo centres in Asia Pacific, unlock doors, book meeting rooms at any centre, sign up for exclusive events, and access exclusive perks. The Just Connect feature especially facilitates collaborations and encourage closer interactions across the regional JustCo community.

JustCo Shapes the Future of Work

This year, JustCo Labs will be rolled out in Thailand to bridge start-ups and corporates across industries and across region. Meaningful programmes such as hackathons, masterclasses are curated at the JustCo Labs, to encourage collaboration and networking opportunities within the ecosystem.

“JustCo at Samyan Mitrtown marks the growing footprint of our presence in Thailand, as we ramp up workspace technology solutions and enhance our offerings to our ever-growing community of members. At JustCo, we believe that a collaborative workspace and the experience of our members will continue to drive our productivity, success, and competitive edge in the market. JustCo at Samyan Mitrtown will be a huge draw for companies looking for a workspace offering flexibility, access to regional networking opportunities, and genuine work-life balance,” said Mr. Kong Wan Sing, Founder and CEO, JustCo.

Expansion in Thailand and beyond

Due to the fast-growing demand for co-working space and its consumers, including the success of JustCo at Samyan Mitrtown which had over 50% occupancy pre-lease before its opening, JustCo will open a new centre at Amarin Tower in the third quarter of this year, in the heart of Ratchaprasong district. Amarin Tower is a single complex that integrates retail, lifestyle and commercial spaces, and is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. True to the spirit of the mixed-use building, JustCo at Amarin Tower is designed to give members a creative working space that encourages collaboration and enhances efficiency.

Backed by Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC (Government of Singapore Investment Corporation) and multi-national property developer Frasers Property Limited, JustCo has over 40 centres in Asia Pacific currently, cementing its position as the leading co-working space provider in the region.

In November 2019, JustCo embarked on a Joint Venture with Daito Trust Construction Co., Ltd, a leading construction and real estate company in Japan. Daito Trust will invest a combined funding of US$74 million for JustCo to expand its network to Japan, thereby enhancing its network advantage to better serve the needs of its members.

JustCo members can work out of any JustCo centre in the country or when they travel abroad. With Japan added to their network, members can enjoy access to co-working spaces in Singapore, Bangkok, Shanghai, Jakarta, Seoul, Sydney, Melbourne, Taipei, Tokyo, and more in the pipeline.

According to GCUC’s 2019 global co-working report, there are over 11,000 co-working spaces in Asia Pacific, which is now the world’s largest co-working region.1 By 2020, the supply of flexible workspaces is forecasted to increase by 15% across several markets in Asia Pacific.
