Conference Room Rental: Where to hold meetings in Singapore?

Trying to find the perfect space in Singapore to hold your next meeting?  Whether you’re looking for a large venue or something more intimate, there are plenty of options to fit your needs, with each offering its own advantages and disadvantages.

We share with you five options for meeting rooms in Singapore to help you impress your clients and grow your business without the need to buy or rent an expensive office in the CBD.

1. Home Offices

Home offices are typically more intimate and relaxed than traditional meeting rooms in Singapore, which can help to put participants at ease and encourage open communication. With proper audio and video systems in place, home offices can also be used for virtual meetings.

However, it may not be the best place to physically bring clients for a meeting, especially if you’re living with other family members. If you absolutely must meet your clients at home, ensure you’ve got a dedicated home office area to do so. Set it up and keep it as professional as possible, such as adding proper tables and chairs.

2. Cafes

If it’s not an ultra-formal meeting, a cafe in Singapore can offer a nice little slice of semi-privacy in a more relaxed setting. Some places even come with the added bonus of free Wi-Fi so you can share updates and presentations directly using your laptop or tablet. There is, of course, also the luxury of being able to drink cafe-tier coffee while conducting the meeting as well.

3. Public Libraries

Sometimes, it’s important to have a higher level of privacy than what a cafe can provide. Singapore has many public libraries that you can arrange to rent a meeting room for a small fee if it’s available. The easiest way is to simply visit the National Library Board (NLB)’s website to check if there are any meeting rooms available for rental. There are many public libraries scattered across the city, so there is a good chance you’ll find one at a location that suits you.

4. Hotels

Many hotels in Singapore also provide conference rooms to businesses that are hosting important meetings or events with lots of clients and/or staff in attendance. These spaces typically have more capacity to hold a larger number of people. As you’re using their facilities, renting a conference room from a hotel does come at a higher cost than the above options. Be sure to shop around to find a reasonably-priced conference room that aligns with your needs and budget.
